What Do You Have to Fear?

Much too often we allow sickness to get the best of us. For instance, if you experience frequent headaches, eventually headaches may become part of your lifestyle. You give into headaches and begin to plan around them.
There was a period in my life that I lay in bed up to fifteen days a month in a dark room with a cool, wet washcloth over my eyes suffering from migraine headaches. Medication dulled the pain but the ache was still present. Medication left me feeling drugged and lethargic, and headaches robbed me of a quality lifestyle.
Job 11:13-18 promises that, 13Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him. 14If you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent. 15Then, free of fault, you will lift up your face, you will stand firm and without fear. 16You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by. 17Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning. 18You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. 19You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid ….
Faith beholds the Lord face to face and stands firm on His Word no matter how you feel, what the doctor is saying, or what circumstances you are facing. A person walking by faith devotes his heart to God and stretches out his hand toward God in the most difficult situations. Proverbs 20 tells us to keep our eyes on the Word and our ears attuned to what the Bible says when facing difficult circumstances. Instead of planning your life around physical symptoms, doctor appointments, surgeries, and medical procedures, make plans to live a normal, satisfying, and productive life without fear of death or destruction. Then, if there is sin in your life, it goes without saying that you need to turn from it and embrace God’s provision of life, health, and prosperity.
When the attacks of the enemy come, the Bible states that it is important to keep your eyes on God and trust Him fully to make the crooked ways straight, and He will deliver you out of your afflictions. Over a period of time, faith in God’s Word totally freed me from migraine headaches. I have had many opportunities since being set free from migraines to trust God for healing in my body. Knowing what He has done for me in the past reminds me to keep my eyes on His provision for healing so that the Word of God can propel me toward healing in those areas.
Satan, the enemy of our soul, never ceases to try to turn our eyes away from God and on our circumstances. That is an open door for fear to grip our hearts with defeat following.
Romans 8:31-33 states “If God is for us, who can be against us?” He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.
When we stand in faith, truly trusting God to do what his Word promises, no demon in Hell can rob us of our victory.
As stated in Isaiah 41:10 “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Trust God, your Master, Healer, and Deliverer in every circumstance of life by devoting your heart to Him and keeping the Word ever before you. Fear not, be not dismayed. God wants you healed and walking in divine health.
