The Faithfulness of God

In Mark 11:22, Jesus said, “Have faith in God.”
Who is this God Jesus instructed us to have faith in? What do we really know about Him? Is He trustworthy? How do we come to know Him to the degree that we trust Him completely? There is only one way to really know God. That is through His Word. The Word of God is true and proven.
Psalms 118: 30-32 AMP As for God, His way is perfect! The word of the Lord is tested and tried (proves true); he is a shield for all those who take refuge and put their trust in Him. For who is God except the Lord? Or who is the Rock save our God. The God who girds me with strength and makes My way perfect?
This is the One Jesus told us to have faith in, the One Who is perfect in all of His ways, One whose Word has been tested, tried, and proven true. Our problem is that we are so used to people who are NOT perfect or trustworthy. We are never sure if we can fully trust their word or not. They say they will do something but don’t, and say they will be there for you but aren’t. Yet, we cannot base our ability to trust God on our experience with people.
God is trustworthy! He has proven Himself time and time again. We can trust in Him. We can trust His Word. God cannot lie!
Psalm 28:7 AMP The Lord is my strength and my impenetrable Shield; my heart trusts in, relies on, and confidently leans on Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will I praise Him.
This scripture says there is a reward for trusting in God. The blessing is that I am helped! If you need “help” then God will help you. You must simply have faith, trust in, rely on, and confidently lean on Him. If you need help because you are sick then God will provide that help. He is your healer! God is faithful to do everything His Word says He will do. He will keep His Word. He will keep His promises. He said, “I am the Lord that heals you”. You can count on Him to be your healer.
God will honor His Word. If He said it, He will do it for YOU. Hebrews 10:23 : So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for HE WHO promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His WORD!
Scripture says our salvation is secured by accepting the Word of God as truth. Rom. 10: 9-10 If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and will believe in you heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
If we can trust God for our salvation through a simple confession of faith in Jesus as our Savior, then we can certainly trust God that our confession of Him as Healer assures our healing. If He is faithful to forgive and cleanse our sins, surely He is faithful to cleanse us of sickness and disease!
