I Will Not Be Denied

I will not be denied! That is my confession of faith, and I will not back away from it until I see the full manifestation of my healing. A tenacious person is persistently determined to receive what God has for them no matter what they see, hear, or feel.

Faith is radical. It never gives in or gives up. It continually stands at attention against demonic forces and states emphatically, “Not on my watch, you don’t!” Radical faith demands that circumstances change. Radical faith will not be denied what God has promised in His Word.

For some time, I have had issues with muscle spasms in my back, and the condition has restricted me from doing certain things that I enjoy. Most often, a heating pad will ease the pain in a short period of time, but occasionally the spasms set in so deeply that I have difficulty sleeping and getting comfortable whether I stand, sit, or lie down. I have gone to a chiropractor for many years and most recently began physical therapy. These approaches help ease the pain and get me back on track for a period of time, but neither of them heal or bring total restoration to my body.

Jesus states in John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

I can state emphatically that muscle spasms and chronic pain have nothing to do with abundant life. Satan is the thief, the one that comes to steal, kill, destroy, and rob us of the abundant life that Jesus has provided. There were no back spasms or pains, chronic illnesses, poverty, or lack of anything before Adam and Eve sinned against God and fell from His grace in the Garden of Eden. However, God, in His mercy, sent his Son, Jesus, to take back what Satan had stolen. Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus redeemed us from the curse of sickness, disease, poverty, and lack.

In John 14:14, Jesus states, “If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.” Kenneth Hagin says in his Health Food Devotion that believers “have the right to ask God, the Father, for healing or any other blessing. And if you ask in the Name of Jesus, you have the absolute guarantee that God the Father will hear and answer your petition.”

Brother Hagin adds that the Greek word for ask in this scripture means demand. Therefore, when we demand anything in His Name, He will do it. We are not demanding that God heal us, deliver us, or provide for us. This scripture means that when we put a demand on God’s Word, we should expect to receive what the Word has been sent to do.

Isaiah 55:11 states, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

Therefore, I can confess that back spasms and pain must cease to operate in my body because, according to Matthew 8:17, Jesus “took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses.” I have the authority through Jesus Name to demand that every symptom bow its knee to the Word of God, and I Will Not Be Denied!
