Healing is Real!

I am so thankful to God for His faithfulness. He wants us healed and whole, walking in divine health. He goes beyond just wanting this for us, He has made the provision for our total healing. In His Word, He has said “I am the Lord thy God that heals you.” In Isaiah 53:4-5, He states, “By His stripes we ARE healed” and in 1 Peter 2:24 “by His stripes you WERE healed.” This means that when God looks at us, He sees us as healed! We need to learn to see ourselves through God’s eyes. Many times, we let doubt and unbelief overrule the Word of God in our lives. We are more focused on what our bodies say to us than what God has said about us. We must purpose in our hearts to believe, rely on, and trust the One who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask, think or even image – God.

I have experienced the healing power of God many times in my life. A few years ago, I went in to have oral surgery. The surgery lasted about four hours after which I stayed in the surgical ICU for observation and overnight care. The surgery had gone well so I was staying simply as a routine precaution. During the night, as I was half-asleep, I noticed someone approaching my bed. Waking up, I realized it was my nurse with a syringe in his hand. I asked him what was he going to do and he said he was going to give me something for pain. I asked, “What pain?” He looked at me shocked that I was not in any pain. However, the Lord had answered my prayer. I was not in any pain or discomfort and did not need any pain medication. I had prayed that my healing would be quick with no residual side effects. I had actually spent the night prior to the surgery praising God and thanking Him for His faithfulness and for being my Healer. He truly was faithful to answer my prayer! Just as I said, I received my quick healing with no pain and no residual effects from the surgery!

I hope you will understand that the Bible says healing is the children’s bread. It belongs to each of us as God’s children. We just need to know His Word and that His answer to our prayers is “yes and amen.” Just as I received my healing, you can receive yours. God is not a respecter of persons. He is just looking for someone like me and someone like you, to take Him at His Word, believe, and receive all of His benefits, including healing and divine health.
